Eugene Gomes is an internationally award winning chef, originally from Bangladesh. Coming into his talent at a young age, Eugene traveled to twenty six countries to pursue his passion for the culinary arts. This included the United Kingdom where he received the Chef of the Year Award against 1,500 chefs at the competition in Queen Margaret College, Edenburgh. In 1994, he realized the opportunities that America offered and journeyed with his wife eventually making his way to North Carolina. Now the father of three, Eugene resides in Raleigh with his family. He is the Garde Manger Chef of Pinehurst Hotel and Resort in Pinehurst, and continues to do freelance work in his free time.
